Employee Wellbeing
We operate an Employee of the Month scheme to give us the opportunity to recognise each other’s efforts and say thank you. This was suggested by one of us for all of us to participate in. We all get a warm feeling when the nominations are read out during our monthly staff meetings with the worthy winner receiving a trophy which is proudly displayed on their desk for the whole month.
We encourage good communication throughout the company and each have regular appointments with line managers. This gives us the opportunity to discuss any training we feel we may need, things we achieved and things we would like to achieve in the next few months. The four directors also take it in turn to run a half hour ‘surgery’ each week, this gives us the opportunity to talk about any issues and ideas we have.
To keep those creative juices flowing in the office we all participate in the ‘Creative Challenge.’ Our teams are mixed up to encourage us, regardless of job roles, to come up with ideas and sketch them out. The aim of this challenge is to encourage teamwork, boost confidence and improve creative, thinking as well as adding some healthy competitiveness to the office.
