During my usual Design Geek weekend internet browsing I came across Betty+Cash an Australian based Jewellery Designer, with a very unique style that I just had to show you.
Betty+Cash was created in 2010 by Jessica McMullen, who has been creating and exhibiting contemporary jewellery since 1997. She strives to creating unique, individual, thought provoking jewellery pieces that challenge traditional jewellery design and function. I have to say she really does achieve that brief.
The collection that caught my eye:
My White Diamond Series

All pieces can be created bespoke in other precious metals such as 9ct or 18ct gold as well as the silver and black oxidized finish.

After seeing a lovely rainbow over Leeds this morning, I thought we all needed some colour on this grey drab day.
Denise Julia Reytan was born in Düsseldorf in 1980 and studied jewellery and product design at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf 2003–2008.
Reytan says about her own work “My jewellery is a reflection of myself and an
objective adherence of my ideas, thoughts and feelings
into material, form and colour.”
PRECIOUS PLASTIC

The pieces are created using a silicone casting method and incorporating collected materials and
objects which fascinate her, such as
things from childhood, jewellery from family, from
different times, countries or finds.
Other Jewellery collections include:

WHAT IS JEWELLERY

Denise Julia Reytan caught my eye as a jewellery designer but her work extends to so much more. This shopwindow installation consists of individual, everyday objects.

On one review I read Reytan’s work was described as “joyful jewellery” which is a perfect descripti…

I admit it. I love jewellery. If you mix that with my love of contemporary design and anything a bit different you get Shaun Leane.
While shopping a while ago I came across a collection of Jewellery called Cherry Blossom which really caught my eye. I loved that it was feminine and elegant but with a bit of edge. This began my love of his work and made me want to find out more about the designer. Leane has been U.K. Jewellery Designer of the Year on four occasions and had a long-standing collaboration with the late Alexander McQueen. Sotheby’s has described his work as “antiques of the future”. What more can I say?

Other favourite collections of Leane’s are BLACKTHORN, SERPENT, HAWTHORN, and LUNA. All stunning, original pieces of design.

Most of Shaun Leane’s are on my Christmas list. I really had better be good this ye…
