Fishing for compliments

Over a month has passed since our submissions to this years’ Chip Shop Awards and today The Drum has announced the nominations.

The Chip Shop Awards are the only international advertising awards that actively encourage entrants to submit concepts for clients they haven’t a hope of winning, ideas that are far too risque, ideas for briefs and categories you’ve made up yourself, the ideal opportunity to flex your creative muscle (and hopefully clout your funny-bone on the way).

So, without further ado, here’s our two nominations:

The first is for Best Use of Shocking Copy

And the second is Best Outdoor Advertisement

Looking at the other Chip Shop Nominations we’re up against some great creative work.

This year’s awards evening takes place on Wednesday 10th June at Fabric Nightclub in London, and in typical Chip Shop style the dress-code is anything but black-tie!

To get these great results we used our internal ‘Creative Challenge’ process which pits three teams against each other to come up with winning ideas. These ideas are then presented to a ‘board’ to find the cream of the crop and define the final creative. This tried-and-tested technique works well and has seen creativity continually increase as teams consistently try to better themselves and win the ‘Creative Challenge’ trophy.
