There are few things that a sit down and a cup of tea will not help to make a little better.

In the current economic situation, which Richard likes to refer to as the Money Munch, it’s important not to lose sight of the things that really matter in life, the things that keep you living, rather than existing.

There’s an old Chinese way of thinking (I think it’s Chinese, correct me if I’m wrong) that says if you can only afford one loaf of bread (the practicalities of life) or one bunch of lillies (the beauties) it is best to buy half a loaf of bread and a single lilly.

I’ve long tried to follow that philosophy, with varying degrees of success.
