Happy Birthday Hobo
To celebrate the forthcoming centenary of the typeface Hobo, long-term fan John Caserta has set up hobo2010 as a place where people can view and contribute to a great collection of photos showing Hobo in action.
Created by Morris Fuller Benton, Hobo was just part of great portfolio of typefaces that included staple favorites such as Century Schoolbook, Cheltenham, Clearface, Franklin Gothic, News Gothic and Souvenir.
Have a browse through the collection, I always find it interesting when typefaces seem to end up slightly out of context. Right, I’m off Hobo-hunting!
