The best sarnies ever...?

Ever obsessed with food, and in honour of British Sandwich Week we at ICM will be thinking a little more about what goes in to our sandwiches, this week.

The British Sandwich Association has even launched a pre-packed sandwich, the Great British Hammie, especially for the week – “a truly great British sandwich” – featuring British Standard Quality ham, Granary® bread and a selection of ingredients sourced from British suppliers.

All of this is in the run up to British Sandwich Industry Awards Dinner in London later on this month (21st May), at which the British Sandwich Designer of the Year will be announced.

So, today:
• Tasha had Brussels paté, beetroot and coleslaw on multi-seeded,
• Louise had bacon, tomato and rocket on granary,
• Sally had tuna, lettuce and cucumber on multi-seeded and
• I had honey-roast ham and mayo on a bagel.

Clearly Tasha wins for most exciting (and pretty darn tasty), and I get most unexciting (though it was also tasty).

So, what will you be putting on your sarnies this week people? And what should I make tomorrow?

I don't really understand why Tasha won this! She's clearly looked in the fridge at what she's got and put them all together - surprised there was no potato salad in there actually Tasha!

Clearly I win.

You get points for the rocket, but it's basically a BLT - classic, but not really exciting. At least you had 3 ingredients ;) Off to the deli counter tomorrow...

Here is an update of what sandwiches we had today....
Tasha had the same as yesterday
Louise had a cheese and salad cream sandwich, with some tomato soup
and I had homous, ham, lettuce and cucumber which was very tasty if I do say so myself!
Take a look at my sandwich along with a few frazzles on the plate too!

I think the Comments thingamy needs to have a sandwich...

Today, Andy and I had buffalo, mozzarella and salad sarnies on sesame seed and granary bread respectively, Ben had corned beef, onion, lettuce and pickle on a brown bap and Sally and Tasha both had the same as they did on Monday.

I don't think anyone's had a pre-packed sandwich all week!

try Philpotts sandwiches-the only sandwich shops I know where they all have trained chefs making the daily specials-and the shops look and feel great. Two shops in Leeds think the next nearest is Sheffield?
