Goodbye to a legend

I turned on the radio this morning on my drive to work and caught the end of ‘Man in the Mirror’ – thanks Chris Moyles I thought, what a classic! Then I heard the shocking news that Michael Jackson had passed away last night and I’m truely shocked and sad.

Michael Jackson was my idol for many years of my childhood – my bedroom was decorated from top to bottom with posters, bedspread – you name it! Me and my friend used to get together and have ‘Micheal Jackson days’ where we sat watching all the videos. My dear mum even made me Michael Jackson birthday cakes. I’ve also practised moonwalking until (almost) perfection!

I think we’ll all remember where we were when we heard this sad news. Goodbye Michael, rest in peace.

I remember it well, in those days he was amazing and yes everything that Louise had was linked to Michael, what a talent, to sell 40 millions copies of an album must say something about him. His music will go on now more than ever. Goodbye Michael I pray that now he really will be able to rest in peace.

I am in still in shock. It is as if a bit of my childhood has disappeared. His fantastic music will live on and for that we must be grateful. Despite his unconventional personal life and problems we have lost a truly major talent in the world of music and entertainment. My heart goes out his children and family at this terribly sad time.

Michael Jackson may not have had such a big impact on my generation, but I am still saddened by his death. I remember as part of our school talent show our year group performed 'Thriller' and many of his songs have been played on many nights out bringing back good memories. RIP Michael Jackson.
