Raise a glass to consumer interaction
As many of you know, I’m and avid fan of Cornwall and it’s many offerings; from rugged coastline, Atlantic surf beaches and warmer climate, to it’s Farmers’ markets, local produce, people and… beer!
Some of you will also know that I’m a bit of a Real Ale connoisseur (read: potential alcoholic!) and have even brewed my own bitters. One such drink that I’ve tried to emulate is a beer from St. Austell brewery in Cornwall called Tribute.
Tribute is a gorgeous ‘summer ale’ originally brewed for the turn of the millennium. It was brewed at first as a limited edition and has since gone on to become the brewery’s best seller and has turned the business around to great success, the company now has over 170 pubs across the southwest.
As a fitting ‘Tribute’ to the beer I nonchalantly took this photo whilst on holiday in Cornwall last week…

…and then I sent this message via Twitter to @Tribute_Ale
Then I noticed they had used the image on their Facebook Fan page, so I became a fan.
Then they launched a photo competition…
…and let me know via Twitter here.
It’s a nice way to interact with your customers; no push, no hard sell, just interaction. And if I win the competition the first pint’s on me… a pint of Tribute obviously!
PS: I may be slightly bias but feel it should win because every time I look at it, it makes me thirsty! (or is that just me?)
