We're lost in music!

Yesterday in the office we got talking about the first music singles or albums that we all brought! This was a little embarrassing for some, but hey, we were all a lot younger back then and as we have grown up our music taste has got a lot better, (I think!)

Louise – Paul Young ‘Everytime You Go Away’ single on 7” vinyl

Andy – Tottenham Hotspurs featuring Chas and Dave ‘Spurs are on their way to Wembley’ single on 7” vinyl, very strange considering Andy did not like football!

Ben – Nirvana ’Nevermind’ album on cassette

Richard – Madness ‘Driving in my car’ single on 7” picture vinyl

Siân – ’Martika’ album on cassette

Me – 2unlimited ‘No Limit’ single on CD

We all brought our first singles or albums on different types of medium but now we all buy our music digitally for our mp3 players. The question is what will we be buying our music on in the next 20 years?

Share your first single or album you purchased with us!

Some people's taste in music hasn't improved with age either, not mentioning any names.

I'll always be grateful for my parents' tastes in music when I was a child - my father would listen to The Rolling Stones, Beatles, Yardbirds, Kinks etc. My mother would subject me to Shalamar, Shakatak and Earth, Wind & Fire!
