Raise a glass to Arthur

24th September is Guinness’ birthday. 250 years ago Arthur Guinness made the first batch of the black stuff, which means people have been drinking the stuff for a very long time!

To celebrate Arthur’s birthday I thought I would share with you some of the classic Guinness adverts that have graced our screens over the years. (well I cant drink Guinness at work!!)

I'm not a fan of the drink but do like the advertising. A particular favourite of mine are the old John Gilroy posters: http://tr.im/zAwY Especially 'Lobsters Love Guinness'

RE old John Gilroy posters: I like the one with the lobster, crab and the fish holding a random cucumber! Wonder what he has planned for them? ;0)

What about the ad with the white horses? Wasn't that the most expensive ad ever made at the time?
