The Art of LEGO
Growing up, my brother and I would spend hours creating many unusual structures in LEGO. Our favourites were always hamster tunnels, which usually resulted in having many nibble marks in our bricks.
While having a look round for approriate LEGO for my 20 month old, I found so many fantastic pieces of art I had to share.

Alex Eylar
These scenes from very well know films are created by Alex Eylar a Californian film school student. Alex told the Telegraph “I’m a movie nerd of the highest degree. If I see a movie I like, there’s an excellent chance I’ll build it. The builds themselves usually take an hour or two. Just as important as the build is the lighting; I light scenes like movie sets, anything to create a mood or an atmosphere or bring the recreation better to life.”

He has recreated many films and can all be viewed on Flickr
Nathan Sawaya – BRICK ARTIST™

With more than 1.5 million colored bricks in his New York studio, Sawaya’s sculptures take many forms.
Muji Lego
If you fancy being a LEGO artist you could try these new Muji LEGO sets. Inside the boxes are classic LEGO bricks and a few sheets of paper which you can combine to create something new.

Everybody can get creative.
If you know of any other artists working in Lego, please let me know.
