Back to the Future
When I go back home to visit my parents, I walk through the front door and I am immediately greeted by old photos of myself and my brother, staring back at me from as early as 1979. The worst of all is my school photo when I was 14. Some photos should not be displayed.
Irina Werning is a photographer that has a fascination for old photos. Irina says “As soon as I step into someone else’s house, I start sniffing for them. Most of us are fascinated by their retro look but to me, it’s imagining how people would feel and look like if they were to reenact them today…” So she did and the results are fantastic.
I have only displayed five examples here but there are many more utterly amazing images on Irina Wernings website.
