The Hobby Photographer

About a week ago, while checking up on Richard on twitter I noticed these amazing shots he had taken on an evening bike ride.

After some gentle persuasion I can finally show you Richard’s stunning shots of the bluebells in the woods near Skipton.

They really put my shots to shame.

I'd call it a draw - It's hard to compare them properly as they're of 2 different subject matters - landscape vs documentary/people/arty.

While Richard's are more technically competent and have great lighting and good composition/processing (and makes you want to be there - the fundamental thing for landscape photography i feel), Melisa's photos have a great sense of spontaneity and fun, which equally makes you wish you were experiencing it - so in that respect both are sets of images i'd happily spend time looking at.

So both #Winning in my book :-)

You can't be anything other than spontaneous when taking shots of a toddler, But those bluebells do look a bit lively

I think you are both very talented. I dare not put my shots on here because they tipify a "bad photographer".
