1940's Nostalgia

Last weekend saw Haworth step back in time to the 1940s. The event which is organised by the Haworth Village Association every spring, has visitors and locals alike in period 1940’s dress, re-creating the atmosphere of the time. The day included R.A.F. vintage aircraft flypast, evacuees party, authentic swing jive dancing, a Spitfire simulator and the Central Park of Haworth was used as a military zone with a camp, with many of the vehicle, uniforms and more being supplied by GI Sales & Hire.

GI Sales & Hire specialises in the hire of authentic Second World War vehicles, uniforms, military equipment, photographs and documentation.

Our very own Richard was there to be the photographer for GI Sales & Hire for the weekend. I think he really captured the 1940’s feel in all the shots and showed of how impressive the vehicles really are.
